Message from Sue

It doesn’t seem only 12 months ago that we held a rededication service for Caradoc Mission. It’s hard to believe that so much has happened since then. We have seen people seeking God in a new, fresh, committed way.

It is exciting to be part of the church and part of what God is doing in our community. A number of areas of our church life are currently being developed. We have started up an exciting new men’s ministry. The aim of this ministry is to encourage and build up men within the church and reach out to men outside the church. There is, I believe a call for Godly men to rise up and stand for what they believe in. To show that our faith is relevant in today’s society and to become the men that God intended them to be. To walk in Godly principles, and to demonstrate the love and power of God to others.

Sadly in our society today there is a lack of Godly role models for our young men, and it is heartbreaking to see young men with no sense of ambition or hope for their future. What a tragic waste of the potential within. My heart is to see these lives drastically changed by God and to see what these men will achieve with Him and through Him.

Another area we are exploring is our prayer life. Prayer is powerful and effective. The prayer meeting is the powerhouse of the church. At Caradoc we are committed to praying over every aspect of our church life. We are also committed to pray for our community and meet every Sunday evening to do so. As we are learning all about prayer and the depth and extent of it in our lives we know that we will see God do amazing things.

Once crucial aspect of our church is of course our young people. At Caradoc we have extended our children’s work to include Kidz Church each Sunday. This will be a fun, exciting and enjoyable way for our children to experience church. However, the main focus will of course be to teach them about the love of God. We are looking forward to seeing this area of our church develop and grow.

Our weekly bible study continues and our new study is entitled 'Getting Real with God.' I am certain we will be challenged and encouraged as we open up the word of God and consider the impact and importance of applying it in every aspect of our lives.

Over the past year we have had new people join us for worship and they have become part of our Caradoc Church family. We’ve seen two new babies born into our congregation and shared in the joy and wonder of the miracle of new life. We have shared the joy of love and marriage as two of our church members got married, and sadly we have shared the sadness at the loss of two members of our church family who passed away this year, but we rejoice in the certain knowledge that they have gone onto eternal life.

Looking back over the year it has been a tremendous time. It truly is a witness and testimony to the grace and faithfulness of God.

My prayer is that we may continue to grow and that in all things we are purposeful and effective for the Kingdom.

Be blessed

Sue.
